Melatonin

Jürgen Klanert PhD

Melatonin is the body's natural sleep hormone, produced in the pineal gland. Its production is stimulated by darkness and inhibited by light. Melatonin regulates the circadian rhythm and signals to the body that it's time to sleep. Blue light from screens can suppress melatonin production.
